2020 Rosé of Merlot "Lost Vineyard"

From our two acre "Lost Vineyard" block, the '20 Merlot rosé is dry, but with a lucious spread of fresh fruit across the palate.  Picked early -- August 21 -- whole cluster pressed (this is a very lightly tinted rosé), fermented with wild, native yeasts, a total of 81 cases were bottled in April, 2021 -- the bottles are closed with Saranex-lined screw caps to ensure maximum freshness.

Wine Profile
Winemaker Notes
We love the summer rose coming from our 2 acre "Lost Vineyard" block of Merlot. Like our Sauvignon Blanc, this is a wine we make for our family and friends - so it is made exactly how we prefer it. Not a saignée wine, we like rosé to be expressive and lively, so we bring in the fruit well before our reds, immediately drain the juice off the skins, ferment with natural, wild yeasts, and hold the wine in stainless steel until bottling. 100% Merlot, we produced just 972 bottles. Try it on a warm evening with grilled fish or a light seafood pasta.
