Locations
The Snowden Ranch is located in the hills on the east side of the Napa Valley between the towns of Rutherford and St. Helena. From the Silverado Trail, the ranch lies between Rutherford Hill Road and Taplin Lane and can be accessed by either road. The property is a quarter of a mile wide and a mile long. The Lower and Ricos Vineyards are located at the western-most end of the property adjacent to the Heitz Ranch and lie at approximately 600 feet of elevation. From the Lower Vineyard, the view looks out over tiny Spring Valley and then across the central Napa Valley, centered along Zinfandel Lane. Moving east and uphill from the Lower and Ricos Vineyards, the property flattens out on the hilltop at 800-850 feet of elevation, where The Brothers Vineyard and The Blending Blocks are located. The Lost Orchard Vineyard is located toward the east end of the property, just before it drops off into Conn Valley. A total of 23 acres are planted to vineyards. The remainder of the property is wild woodland.
