2019 Merlot Lost Vineyard
From our two acre "Lost Vineyard" block, the '19 Merlot is full and round, but without an ounce of flab. 100% Merlot, the wine was fermented with native wild yeasts and aged for 18 months in French oak. Our first red wine from the 2019 vintage to be released, it's a perfect match for holiday roasted turkey with chestnut dressing.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The 2019 growing season began with much needed rains. With a reserve of water in the ground, the vines grew quickly. Our vineyard team struggled to keep up with the ground vegetation and canopy management. Removing lateral shoots and excess fruit was especially important in 2019 to maintain balance. The growing season was even, with no heat spikes in the autumn. We were at leisure to pick at optimal ripeness. The wines are generous and plush with exceptional aromatic complexity.
Winemaker Notes
The bouquet is gentle, warm and welcoming. There are notes of blackberry and brambles, tobacco, molasses and violets, with the intensity gradually increasing on the palate. The tannins are fine and firm, with inky black fruit and a hint of crushed cloves. The 2019 Merlot is cut with stylish definition.
