1999 Petit Verdot Dessert Wine
In 1999 we made a single barrel of dessert wine from the Petit Verdot vines growing at approximately 800 feet of elevation in a block we call the Levi Philander Davis Vineyard. Fortified with brandy from a small distillery on the north coast, aged in a French oak barrel for 29 months, bottled in 2002, aged in bottle for 17 years, recorked, labeled and sealed with black bees wax in 2019. 636 half bottles produced. Alcohol 19.4%, residual sugar 74 g/L.
