SKU: 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

Our “biggest” wine since the 2007 Reserve, the 2010 Reserve is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot.  The wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and then an additional 18 months in bottle before release this past fall.  "...The 2010 stands apart for its freshness, nuance, and pure vibrancy, all of which serve to balance the wine’s sumptuous, engaging personality."  [Antonio Galloni, The Wine Advocate, December 2012.]  There's more: "[The]...deep ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of black currants, loamy soil, forest floor, licorice and baking spices. Rich, opulent, medium to full-bodied..." [Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, October 2013.]

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve has aromas of plum, cedar and nutmeg, followed on the palate with dark fruits, chalky tannins and a stony, focused minerality. The wine is powerful yet restrained. We recommend decanting if you enjoy the wine in its youth -- we expect the wine to evolve and improve over the next 15 years.
