For
over fifty years, three generations of our family have been
farming red wine grapes on our ranch located on the eastern slope
of the Napa Valley overlooking the towns of Rutherford and St.
Helena. The property touches both the Rutherford and St Helena
appellations. The Howell Mountain appellation is a few hundred
yards away. Our wines are a unique marriage of the characteristics
of these renowned growing regions. We produce two estate grown
claret style wines from our vineyards, where we grow Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot

Created entirely from our vineyards, Snowden Reserve consists
of the best lots within our vineyards, and is characterized by
balance
and
consistency with blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Snowden is aged in tight grain oak
barrels from the northern forests of France. This is a wine
that has exceptional depth, and is the pinacle of what our vineyard
site has to offer. |

The Ranch is our second label, and has taken the role of Lost Vineyard in our lineup. This wine is made
from estate fruit, and consists of lots within our vineyards that
are specially designated for our second label, as well as
wine that is declassified from the Reserve program. By design, this wine
is ready to table sooner than our Reserve Cabernet
Sauvignon,
and consists of the same blending grapes; Cabernet
Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. |

The Snowden Sauvignon Blanc consists of fruit that
is sourced from some of the best vineyards in Napa
Valley; Andy
Beckstoffer's home vineyard in Rutherford. This wine
is a wonderful example of the varietal, and shows
virtue from both the old world and the new. While our Cabernet Sauvignon is
unmistakably
from California, the Sauvignon Blanc shows Diana's old world talents and has a weight and flavor profile that screams old world in a great vintage! Additionally there were 200 cases produced, so this wine's signature is quite impressionable.
