Pre-Release Notes
For the first time we are offering the Snowden wines on a pre-release basis. Our last vintage of Snowden Reserve sold out like it was the late 90's, and this year we are in the unfortunate position of having less wine to sell; about 1/3 less wine to sell to be more precise. We don't anticipate the 2006 wines lasting more than the holiday season.
The wine went to bottle last week, (8/9/08,) and will be shipping mid to late September, depending on when the whether allows. Please be informed that orders placed are on a pre-sale basis. Thank you for your support.

"As for the 2006 wines, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ranch shows a more fruit-forward style than the 2005, slightly greater ripeness, but lower acidity and a more plump, fleshy mouthfeel. It is more typically Californian, whereas the 2005 seemed to combine the best of the European, cool-climate style with the exuberance of California's fruit. Look for the 2006 to drink well young and evolve for 12-15+ years." -RP
