Winemaker's Notes
Once we have completed the Reserve, we blend the remaining lots to produce “The Ranch”. These lots and this wine have the unmistakable power, breadth and character of our very special site, with a hint more rusticity.
The 2005 Ranch wine is rich with dark fruits, mouth-filling sweet tannins and a deep, dark color. The bouquet has intense aromas of black cherries and plums highlighted by scents of violet, licorice and cocoa powder. On the palate the wine is dense with mouth coating tannins. Our Ranch blend is made to be enjoyed young.

This is an encredible value for a small production estate produced Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

"The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ranch is an outstanding example of Napa Cabernet at a realistic price point. Dark black currant fruit intermixed with some smoke, tobacco leaf, and licorice is followed by a ripe, medium to full-bodied wine with velvety texture, beautiful opulence, and a nice, natural mouthfeel. It should drink beautifully for 10-15 years."
