The Lost Orchard was planted in 1997 with the Pool Block and the Rico's Vineyard. This vineyard got its name from the orchard that it was planted in... The Lost Orchard. The Lost Orchard had plums growing in it until the middle 1900's.  By the time the Snowden family acquired the property the Lost Orchard was in a state of disrepair. We chose this location to plant because it was one of the only sites on the property that was not completly forested with old growth oak, (as you can see from the picture in the side bar.)  The Lost Vineyard is the name of our second label wine, but was inspired by a different area of the ranch.
