SKU: 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Magnum

A family favorite for its purity and fidelity to our site, the 2010 reserve is our “biggest” wine since the 2007 Reserve. A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot, the wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.  The Wine Advocate described the 2010 Reserve as "rich, opulent" and predicted it will age well for ten to fifteen years.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Rich but nuanced, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve shows dark fruit, a deep amethyst color, and aromas of black currant, violets, lavander, cedar and nutmeg, followed by lively tannins and a stony, focused minerality. The Wine Advocate remarked that "a harmonious, perfumed finish rounds things out in style."
Vineyard Notes
In many ways, 2010 was a quintessential Napa Valley growing year -- moderately warm and consistent through the growing season, except for a couple of heat spikes in the fall as the grapes were nearing maturity. Fortunately, they only served to urge the grapes to ripeness.
